The golden "scorched" effect is the residual sap left over from the laser process, because of this some pieces will may look different from the items pictured. If you prefer, you can remove the excess sap using a damp cloth. The sustainable wood is untreated and you can use standard wood stains or inks, to give this item your own personal touch.
